    Wild's Forge Challenge - A Forge Cafe Contest

    Halo Community Tournament: Halo 4 Flood

    Forge Cafe is hosting its first Forge contest. The deadline will be TWO WEEKS from now, ending December 30th, 2012 at midnight CST.

    Rules:
    • You will be given a template that can be downloaded from Lit3rly Log1c's File Share.
    • You can add whatever you want to the template, but you are not allowed to edit the template itself.
    • How you use the budget is entirely up to you. You could use all of it, or only 500; the choice is yours.
    • You can have one partner to collaborate with, or you can work on your own. Note that only one person will be awarded per map.
    • The map can support any game type, including mini games, but MUST be functional as a working map.
    •Your map must be playable with 16 people, as these will be judged at the Forge Cafe Game Nights.

    Disqualification criteria:
    • Map was turned in after the deadline.
    • Map is not functional. Spawns not set up, spawns off map, trapped spawns, game type not set up, etc.
    • Offensive map title or description.
    • Stolen map or manipulated map (plagiarized, hacked, or any other means of cheating).

    Judging criteria - Maps will be judged based on:
    • Aesthetic appeal.
    • Reaction of testers.
    • Overall fun and replay-ability.
    • Creativity.

    Prizes:
    [1st] 1600 MSP card + premium user promotion.
    [2nd] Halo 4 Avatar T-shirt code (male or female) + premium user promotion.
    [3rd] Premium user promotion.

    UPDATE: Template has been updated to fix a minor glitch. Contest has been extended 1 week + 1 day; it will now end Monday, January 7th, 2012 at midnight CST. Search "Lit3rly Log1c", "undr zid", or "FC Quicksilver" and download "Contest Template V1.1."

    Guys we need the fileshare up and running, when you search for a specific gamertag it has a message that pops up and says no files found, when you search for most downloaded and most reccomended it says no files found..... I see the pattern here when will you....

    The only way you can download it is to invite the player to private chat, click on there gamertag then select "Halo 4 File Share" which is under "Halo 4 Service Record"

    For those who need to get the map, I will be online tonight and tomorrow to invite players into my party so that you can get the correct template. Send a message over XBL to "undr zid" in that time frame, and I will be happy to assist. If you are not able to be on at those times, again send me a message over XBL or @ forgecafe.com, and I will take care of you.

    Download "Template V1.1" From "Lit3rly Log1c", "undr zid", or "FC Quicksilver". Changes were made to fix a minor glitch, contest has been extended 1 more week. Contest will now end January 7th, 2012 @ Midnight CST.

    The file share search works properly, we have tested it on many gamertags. If you still run into problems, refer to my previous comment and I will assist you. Good Luck!

    @under zid what exactly are you people on? I have yet to encounter a single gamer who can use file share. NOTHING SHOWS UP! does this need to be showcased in a youtube video for you to comprehend that there is a reason people complain about it?

    No need for all of that. I assume that it may of shown up because both of them were in my party when I searched. Since I was able to view the maps in both of their file shares successfully, (including my own) when I searched just a few hours ago. That is my only explanation. I did not check outside of that, so if that is the case I will still be able to help anyone who needs it.

    well its getting frustrating because now we're seeing Forge contests being advertised by 343's Halo Waypoint while filesharing doesn't work and 343 has basically ignored this and given no update, and Halo Waypoint seems to be run the opposite of how Bungie.net was run when Bungie actually cared (aka before Halo: Reach). For a company that made a billion dollars in a matter of weeks, they sure don't seem to care about keeping the community up to date.

    You go to www.forgecafe.com, sign up, and go to the contest submission page on the home page and submit it.
